We’re looking for enthusiastic people to join our Management Committee and our Wellbeing Network

As an established social enterprise we want to expand our operations. We are looking for people from all walks of life to join our organisation and help us with our mission to create healthy and flourishing communities.

As a Committee Member, we’re looking for people who are willing to volunteer between 1.5 - 3 hours of their time every 3 months to attend our Committee Meetings.

What will the roll involve?

  • Helping us to plan for the future
  • Making sure that our services are meeting the needs of local people
  • Providing advice / suggestions about ways to improve
  • Developing new ideas and innovative projects

What are the benefits?

  • Good work experience. Looks great on your CV!
  • Unique opportunity to try out new ways of helping people
  • Represent the Wellbeing Project at networking events and conferences
  • Support for your personal development - such as training and mentoring

We want a real mix of people, who are able to bring different perspectives and ideas... We would welcome applications from people who have had experience of mental distress or who have cared for someone who has.

What about becoming a Network Member?

If you don’t think you can commit the time to becoming a Committee Member, what about becoming a Network Member instead?

What will the roll involve?

  • Attending at least 2 Committee Meetings a year as an observer (But you are welcome to contribute to discussions if you choose)
  • You’ll be able to attend Wellbeing Project events and conferences as a Network Member
  • Volunteer your time to help out with projects

This opportunity is more flexible, and you can choose how much time you’d like to commit.

How do I apply?

Drop us an email (or give us a call) expressing your interest in either role - Committee Member or Network Member. We will then arrange for an informal get together to discuss values and aspirations.

We are planning to have our new format Committee Meetings up and running for May 2010. For more information contact Mark Swift, Project Manager T: 01744 26444 E: m.swift@wellbeingproject.co.uk
