Dates announced for the next round of ‘Ignite Your Life!’ Community Resilience Events

Following on from the success of last year’s ‘Ignite Your Life’ community resilience events, the Wellbeing Project is pleased to announce the dates for the next round of events.

Ignite Your Life’ is a series of free events funded by Halton and St Helens NHS, that aim to skill people up to stay strong during difficult times. The events are open to people living and working in Halton and St Helens and will include workshops on the following topics:

  • Enhancing emotional literacy - using humour & laughter as a tool
  • Spotting the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems
  • How to help someone in distress
  • How to improve your mental healthiness

Everyone who attends will receive a free £10 love2shop gift voucher.

Mark Swift, Project Manager explains that “these events provide a unique opportunity for local people to learn practical skills to stay strong, how to stay confident and how to help yourself and others feel good”.

Paula Gamester and Dr Laura Pogue Co-directors of the Wellbeing Project are understandably “delighted” to be delivering this innovative project in partnership with our local NHS.

The dates for the events are:

  • St Helens Tues 13th April 2010 St Helens Chamber of Commerce, Salisbury Street
  • Runcorn Thurs 15th April 2010 Runcorn Town Hall, Heath Road
  • Widnes1 Fri 16th April 2010 Halton Stadium, Lowerhouse Lane
  • Widnes2 Fri 23rd April 2010 The Foundry, Lugsdale Road
