The Wellbeing Project Affirmations

Competition Winners

Brain bookThe groundbreaking Haynes Brain Manual formed the centrepiece of National Mens Health Week 2006. The main target audience for the book is men of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in becoming more aware of wellbeing, in the broadest sense.  Health professionals will also be able to use the book as a health promotion and education resource.

The Haynes' format has been chosen because it is 'male-friendly': many men are used to using information presented in this way; the 'body as machine' metaphor resonates with the way men tend to think about health issues; and, of course, the concept introduces an element of humour (which helps to break down men's 'internal barriers' to accessing health information and advice).

We have a free copy of this book to give away, courtesy of the folks at Haynes. along with runners up prizes of £10 gift vouchers for 2nd & 3rd names draw at random.
