Time Out: A unique film and music course for men living in Halton and St Helens
Men of Halton and St Helens will have the opportunity to take part in an innovative 5 week course exploring popular film and music.
This free course is brought to you by the Wellbeing Project, and will cover topics such as:
• Reviewing influential popular film and music
• An exploration of human feelings through film and music
• Creativity and feeling good
Mark Swift, Project Manager explains how “participants will be encouraged to review some life changing popular music and film”.
The project has been funded by the Mark McQueen Foundation - a charitable endowment fund set up in memory of Mark McQueen that aims to address the problems young men face in finding a place for themselves in the world. The Foundation’s ultimate aim is to contribute towards reducing the rate of male suicide in the area.
The ‘Time Out’ programme aims to nurture the creative energies and natural talents of local men using the backdrop of popular music and film to explore what it means to feel good.
As part of the course participants will have the opportunity to go on a free trip to the cinema or theatre.
There will be two intakes of the programme commencing 26th March at the Wellbeing Project HQ, 5 Haydock Street, St Helens, WA10 1DD.
